MILWAUKEE - Strong winds kept a lot of people in southeast Wisconsin
tossing and turning overnight. Mother nature also knocked down trees
and knocked out power.
Near KK and Howard the wind is likely to blame for knocking a large tree onto a car.
We Energies spokesman Brian Manthey explained that 1,500 customers
were without power in Greenfield, 800 in West Bend and 800 in Grafton.
Another We Energies spokesman, Barry McNulty, said other morning
outages were found in the City of Milwaukee, Franklin (with 1,200
customer outages), Glendale, Wauwatosa and West Allis.
McNulty blamed “tree contact, trees wires, some reports of trees down, limbs that have come in contact with our wires.”
